What Is Alzheimer’s Disease?

Alzheimer’s Disease is a progressive mental deterioration that can occur in middle or old age, due to generalized degeneration of the brain. It’s characterized by memory loss, confusion, and problems communicating. About one in ten people over 65, and one in three people over 85 have Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s is more common in women than men.
