Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE)

Hypoxic Ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is brain injury in a newborn caused by a lack of oxygen. This injury usual happens around the time of birth. The resulting death of brain cells can result in developmental delays.
