What Is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a condition characterized by uterine tissue growing outside of the uterus. Just like tissue in the uterus it accumulates and sheds. Because there isn’t a method to rid the body of the exess tissue outside of the utures, it can accumulate and cause problems. Symptoms of endometriosis include debilitating pain during periods, pain during intercourse, and the development of infertility.
